Nairn Dunbar Pro Shop
The Professional’s Shop is run and managed by David Torrance, the clubs resident PGA Professional. David and his
staff look after the majority of the daily golf operations duties ensuring that everyone is happy before and after their round.
The Shop carries a comprehensive range of goods at competitive prices with trial clubs available and a club fitting service
is provided by appointment. David is a member of the TGI Group which gives him the ability to source most golfing goods
quickly if they are not in stock.
Cameron was born in Aberdeen and moved to Nairn in 2007 becoming a member here in the following spring. He has
always had a keen interest and ability in all sports and has over the past few years concentrated on Golf as the primary
focus. Cameron worked with David Torrance in the shop at weekends during his later school years and now having left
school with Higher PE he has been accepted for a Modern Apprenticeship working with David and his team. He is confident
that this will be a step towards further golf qualifications and the start of a career within the golfing industry. In his spare time
Cameron enjoys driving, keeping fit, cycling and relaxes watching his favourite movies.
Norman ‘Taz’ Morrison was born and raised in the Isle of Harris where he started playing golf at an early age.
During his time playing at the Isle of Harris Golf Club he won numerous competitions including the Club Championship.
On leaving school he did his joinery apprenticeship and worked in the construction industry for 6 years. However
he always had a keen interest in a career in golf and decided to attend SRUC Elmwood based in Cupar where he
studied for 3 years and achieved a Higher National Diploma in Professional Golf.
During his college time he did a spell of work experience at Nairn Dunbar and once qualified was offered a job as an
assistant. His aim for 2017 is to work towards starting his PGA training and is looking forward to working alongside
David and his team to help achieve this.
Ben is originally from Elgin and after leaving school he studied in Dornoch and qualified with a diploma in golf
management. Ben was part of a small group, through a placement at university, worked for six months at
Mission Hills Golf Resort in China. More recently he has worked at Moray Golf Club and Ballindalloch Castle
Golf Club. His aim in 2016 is to start his PGA training, which can now be done through the University of Highlands
and Islands. Ben arrived at Nairn Dunbar in December 2015 originally to “help out” for a couple of months.
Thankfully he has decided to stay on full time and is looking forward to meeting our fair weather golfing members.
